Cheap Cruises Are Back - Here's Where People Are Finding Them

Cruise holidays were once seen as the elitist choice, either for the rich and famous or those who'd just won the pools - but not anymore. The cruise sector has been the fastest growing market in the travel industry for over a decade, and all the mainstream tour operators have got in on the action - making it a great and affordable holiday.
Is cruising for you?
Cruising now comes in many shapes and sizes. With all your meals, activities and entertainment already paid for, and the chance to see stop off and a new place every day, what's not to love about a holiday on the open seas? And, it's not just for the oldies - facilities such as climbing walls, waterparks and ice rinks make it a great option for all the family.
Early booking offers
Many companies offer some great deals when they first launch their cruise itineraries to entice you to book early. Look out for when new cruising schedules are due to be published and you could take advantage of free or heavily reduced joining flights and/or transfers, free on-board credit, heavily reduced drinks packages or cabin upgrades. Booking in advance also means you can put down a deposit and pay the balance in instalments, spreading the cost.
Late Deals
Whilst you can bag a bargain by booking early, if you're flexible on dates and the destinations you want to see, you can get some great deals if you leave it until the last minute. As sail dates loom closer and cruise companies have empty cabins to sell, they will start discounting them to mitigate their losses. Opt for a mid-week sail date, or dates that are slightly off season, and you'll see discounts of more than 50% sometimes if you're lucky.
