Work From Home Secrets That Help You Gain Time And Save Money Every Day

One in five Americans now works from home. With the spread of technology and more flexible attitudes, the numbers are likely to increase.
Who can work from home?
If you don’t need to be literally hands on, a huge number of jobs can be done from home. Many companies are allowing employees to work from home using various telecommuting options, and some are actually building whole workforces based there. Lower overheads and possibly longer working hours – for an employer, what’s not to like?
Call center operatives, customer service support, data entry, social media manager, medical transcriptionist, online payment verification, and even some nurses operating hospital advice lines are at the forefront of this revolution - and the list goes on and on.
Things to consider
There are some things to consider before deciding whether this is the right option for you. First of all you’re likely to need access to both a phone and a PC, possibly with a camera. You need to think about whether your home is sufficiently business friendly, without endless distractions. Also, are you a good self-motivator? Will you miss the human interaction of being in an office? Can you manage with less IT support, as will likely be the case? Will you home feel like your office all the time? Longer working hours may, in fact, be the reality.
These are just some of the many things to consider, and video meeting technology for example can make you less isolated and discussions more productive. But there are many upsides, including saving travelling time and achieving a better work life balance – provided you know when to switch off!
