Why Most People Fail At Stock Market Day Trading And How To Survive

If you believe you are a hardworking, disciplined and diligent individual, stock market day trading could be the ideal way for you to make a living. No one said it was going to be easy, but the rewards are incredible. Keep in mind, there is also the downside of losing out if you trade badly.
What is stock market day trading?
Day trading is the art of buying and selling stock and indexes within the same day whilst making a profit by the time the stock market closes. The term “buy low sell high” comes to mind. The aim of stock market day trading is to take advantage of value fluctuations in the market to make a profit.
Stay patient and keep your discipline
Losing in the stock market is a very slippery slope if you lose your strategy. Day trading only works if you have a plan, a strategy, some know-how and a little luck. If you begin to buy recklessly, you are essentially gambling with your money and the odds are much worse than vegas.
Anyone can do it
That is not to say it is easy, but there is no need for official qualifications or technical expertise. This opens up the door to anyone with a bit of knowledge and the ability to work long hours to stay on top of the market.
Staying informed
The biggest challenge is trying to stay informed of any changes within the market that affect the value of assets. It is a combination of knowing what is happening, predicting how it will affect the value and acting quickly.
Reduce your losses
Starting out, you should keep your investment small, at least until you feel like you are getting the hang of things. Setting up a physical stop-loss order is a great way to not lose everything at once. It is an automated order to exit your current position when you have lost the most you can in one day. This is to ensure that you don’t act recklessly to make back impossible gains.
