What Most Investors Should Know Before Starting Binary Options Trading

Binary options trading is a dangerous game if done carelessly, but if done right, you can minimise your risk and reap large financial benefits.
What is binary options trading?
Unlike traditional stock trading, you are not buying stocks and shares. Instead, you are buying an option that will payout depending on the value of an asset when the option expires. You are essentially guessing whether or not a value of a particular asset will be above or below a set amount at the time your binary option expires. If you are right, you will be paid and if you are wrong, you lose the money you paid to take out the binary option.
Call and put options
A call option nets you a gain if the asset is above the specified value when it expires. A put option in an option that nets you a gain if the value drops below the specified value at the time of expiration.
Here’s an example
If you buy an option that XYZ Company’s share price is going to be valued above $18 by January 17th at 13:00 and it is valued at $19 at 13:01, you will make a gain. If it is valued below the $18, you will lose the option with no payout.
Keep in mind
Binary options are bought and sold in markets outside the financial regulations of the regular stock market. This means that there is more risk of fraud and scams not associated with day trading so you need to be more careful. There are still reputable and legitimate binary option vendors, but a little more thought is needed.
