Whether you are planning a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood or Universal Orlando, we recommend you go through the same planning process to find the best deal for your vacation. Your starting point should always be to decide what kind of ticket you need. You can easily research the different tickets available online.
Where should I buy my tickets?
When you start your vacation planning you will find plenty of sites offering tickets for the parks. Generally speaking, all of the companies that you find should offer the same ticket types. A good online company will allow you to book online and either send you tickets in the mail (often called ‘hard tickets’) or an e-ticket that is gate-ready. We don’t recommend purchasing tickets through a company that can’t provide your tickets before you arrive. If you don’t want to buy your tickets until you arrive then our top tip is to talk to your hotel concierge.
Any other tips?
If you are visiting Universal Orlando there are 2 parks. At Universal Hollywood there’s only 1 park. Some of the available tickets for Orlando allow you to hop between the 2 parks on the same day. You pay a little extra for this, but it can be a useful feature so decide how important it is for you before you buy.
How can I be sure I am not being ripped off?
You’ll always save money by buying before you visit. Tickets at the park gates are generally the most expensive. However, you do need to make sure you use a legitimate company. Look for companies that have been online for a while and have plenty of positive and recent customer reviews. If you find a company with a low price, do a search against their name to see if anything negative comes up.
