Plan Your Perfect Florida Vacation With These Essential Travel Secrets

With year round sunshine, Florida remains the top vacation destination in the US. Florida is a great choice for great beaches, and for the famous theme parks in Orlando.

What are the best beach destinations in Florida?

Several of Florida’s beaches regularly feature in America’s top beaches. One of the world’s leading experts, Dr. Beach, featured the following four destinations in his America’s top 10 beaches list for 2015:

  • Barefoot Beach Bonita Springs
  • St. George Island State Park (in the Florida Panhandle)
  • Cape Florida State Park Key Biscayne
  • Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park Naples

A couple of other beach destinations to add to the list are the Florida Keys for their sheer uniqueness and breathtaking scenery, and Miami Beach which is one of the most fun and fascinating urban/ beach playgrounds in the world (best suited for couples or groups of friends).

What kind of activities does a Florida beach destination offer?

As well as offering some of the best beaches in America, Florida also offers some pretty spectacular opportunities to get up close to wildlife. From dolphin cruises and swimming with Manatees, to kayaking through the Everglades, there’s plenty of unusual vacation activities to enjoy.

Are the Orlando theme parks really that amazing?

The answer is yes they are. Orlando is the undisputed theme park capital of the world, and there is nowhere else in the world that offers such a huge concentration of attractions in such close driving distance! The big parks are:

Walt Disney World - with four theme parks, two water parks and an entertainment destination, Walt Disney World occupies 47 square miles of land. There are 25 Disney resorts to choose from too!

Universal Orlando - offers two theme parks and an entertainment destination. There are five hotels on-site as of summer 2016.

SeaWorld Parks - offers one theme park in Orlando and one theme park in Tampa (Busch Gardens) as well as a water park and Discovery Cove.

Realistically how much time do I need in each of the theme parks?

You will need to allow at least a day for each of the big theme parks and in the summer months you are likely to want to repeat a park to make sure you have done every ride.
